As covid-19 was underway in 20s, Wuhan China has reported that many patients has hospitalized with cardic arrest.Heart attack was frequent, especially in underlying patient and there are numerous cases of myocarditis, which occur when heart muscle was inflammed.

  2. Myocardial Injury: Elevated levels of cardiac biomarkers (like troponin) have been observed in COVID-19 patients, indicating damage to the heart muscle.
  3. Arrhythmias: Irregular heartbeats can occur due to the stress of the infection or direct effects on the heart's electrical system.
  4. Acute Coronary Syndrome: COVID-19 can increase the risk of heart attacks due to increased blood clotting and inflammation of the arteries.
  5. Heart Failure: Severe cases can lead to reduced heart function, especially in patients with pre-existing heart condition. 

    Long-Term Effects (Long COVID)

    1. Chronic Inflammation: Persistent inflammation can contribute to ongoing heart issues, including increased risk of cardiovascular diseases.
    2. Post-Acute Sequelae: Symptoms such as chest pain, palpitations, and fatigue may persist, indicating underlying heart problems.
    3. Increased Risk of Cardiovascular Disease: Studies suggest a higher incidence of conditions like hypertension, myocarditis, and arrhythmias in individuals who have recovered from COVID-19.
